Devon House which is located in Kingston, Jamaica, has been a major part of Jamaican landmark for centuries. In the year 1990, it became a national monument. Devon House is famous for meeting friends and socializing or lunch or even dinner. Many events take place such as weddings, functions and family occasions.

The heart of the mansion displays great designs and architecture in their museum. The Hon. George Stiebel - Jamaica's first black millionaire - was the founder of Devon House. It was built around 1881 and he resided their until he died in 1896.  Some of his family members continued to live there until 1922.

Jamaicans normally go to Devon House on Sundays for their well-made, sweet ice-cream of all varieties.
Ice-cream can never be too sweet because other deluxe pastries are in store such as buns, caramel cakes, grater cakes etc.
